Apple might rebrand its entry-level iPhone model this year.

Tipster @MajinBuOfficial shared that Apple's upcoming iPhone SE could be marketed as the iPhone 16E.

If this is true, it would bring Apple's entry-level iPhone closer to the main iPhone family and make it feel more like a more affordable version of the iPhone 16.

Since the first iPhone SE was introduced back in March 2016, it had always been called the iPhone SE, which made it feel distant and separate from the main iPhone line.

In line with other reports, the tipster says the iPhone 16E will have a similar design to the iPhone 14 and will sport an OLED display. The tipster added that the iPhone 16E could come in two colour options: white and black. The current iPhone SE (2022) comes in Midnight, Starlight and (PRODUCT)RED.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16E sometime in March 2025 with a purported price tag of US$499 (~S$681) . Rumoured features include Face ID, a 6.1-inch OLED display, the A18 chip, Apple's first in-house 5G modem, and support for Apple Intelligence.
