The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max might only be available in retail at a much later date according to an analyst.

Consumers who are eyeing the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max might have to wait three to four weeks for its availability.
9to5Mac claims to have viewed a note by a major equity analyst that describes camera sensor supply issues affecting the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The camera component supply issue was also reported by analyst Jeff Pu and TheElec. Pu shared last week that the Sony camera sensors are one of the two supply issues plaguing the mass production of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The other, as reported by TheElec stated, pertains to the yield rates of the periscope lens modules, which are said to be below expectations.
Reports of a delay in the availability of the iPhone 15 were first reported by Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan in late July when he warned that Apple's holiday quarter earnings could be affected.
If the analyst's note is true, we could be looking at stock availability of the iPhone 15 Pro Max between 6 October and 13 October since Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 on 13 September with a retail launch slated for 22 September.
The staggered availability of different iPhone models is nothing new. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini were available weeks after the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in 2020 due to Covid-19's impact on the supply chain. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Plus hit retail shelves three weeks after the iPhone 14.
