One analyst claims the iPhone 15 launch could be delayed by a few weeks

The same analyst was right about the delayed launch of the Apple iPhone 12 in 2020.

The Apple iPhone 15 could launch a few weeks later than initially expected.

Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan claims the launch of the Apple iPhone 15 could be delayed by several weeks. This could push the retail availability of the iPhone 15 lineup into the December quarter and affect the company's fourth-quarter guidance and its holiday quarter earnings.

Since Mohan was right in his prediction about the delayed availability of the iPhone 12 in 2020, his latest report should not be dismissed. While Mohan did not specify any reason for the delay, he says the information came from sources in Apple's supply chain.

What could have possibly delayed the launch of the Apple iPhone 15 lineup? Is Apple facing production issues due to the implementation of a new rear camera layout on the Pro Max model? Did the last-minute cancellation of the solid-state button design push back production plans? Or could the purported use of titanium for the chassis of the Pro models lead to some unexpected manufacturing issues?
