Apple launched its biggest slew of iPhone updates with four new models to deliver the iPhone 12 proposition at various price points and needs. Here are some highlights of the new phones:-

• 5G-ready across all iPhone 12 models
• Apple A14 Bionic processor powering all iPhone 12 models
• OLED displays across all models
• MagSafe wireless charging technology
• Improved camera system and lenses across all models and newer computational photography elements to bring about enhanced Night Mode and new Night Mode Time Lapse.
• A more durable Ceramic Shield Glass layer to protect the screens
• Still IP68 rated, but with better endurance that can stay submerged up to 6 meters in water for 30 minutes (previously up to 4 meters)
• Larger screens for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models
• Thinner, smaller and lighter for iPhone 12
• New iPhone 12 mini to deliver a premium experience on a smaller screen

In summary, the biggest advancements to the iPhone 12 is its new processor enabling new capabilities and experiences from AR to computational photography enhancements, a more durable screen, improved wireless charging experience and accessories, and the better camera and shooting capabilities - especially on the Pro models.

Are they more expensive?

The new iPhone 12 mini is priced at the same level that the iPhone 11 first debuted. That makes the new iPhone 12 about S$150 more expensive than the iPhone 11.
