Purported dates for the launch event and retail launch of the Apple iPhone 15 might have been revealed.

Citing multiple sources, 9to5Mac reports that telcos have been asking employees to avoid taking leave on 13 September (14 September, SGT) due to a "major smartphone announcement."

Although the report didn't specifically say what phone it would be, it's not hard to guess since Apple typically holds its iPhone launch in September.

If you recall, Apple held the iPhone 14 launch event on 7 September (8 September, SGT). Pre-orders commenced on 9 September with retail availability from 16 September.

Taking reference from the iPhone 14 launch timeline, we are expecting iPhone 15 pre-orders to start on 15 September and islandwide availability to commence on 20 September.

Consumers can expect to pay higher prices for the iPhone 15 lineup this year according to Bloomberg. iPhone 15 Pro supplies could be limited at launch due to display manufacturing issues and poor yield rates of the periscope lens for the Pro Max.
