It's March and that can only mean one thing: the IT Show is back! It's the first big physical tech show of the year and it's happening right now at the Suntec Convention Centre, on levels 3 and four. Just like the good old days, there's lots to see and deals to be found if you look hard enough. To save you the trouble and hassle, I went down for a look-see and here are the top computing deals that I saw.

Acer Swift Go 16 OLED
Acer's Swift Go 16 OLED is one of the most affordable 16-inch OLED notebooks you'll find at the show. The 16-inch OLED display has a resolution of 3200 x 2000 pixels and a high 120Hz refresh rate. The base model comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13500H processor, 16GB of memory, and a 512GB SSD. It's going for S$1,119 (U.P. S$1,698) and comes with a free carry case.

Apple MacBook Air (M1)
This may not be Apple's latest and greatest, but the M1 MacBook Air is still a capable machine for everyday workloads. Furthermore, this is the last model to feature the iconic wedge design. The base model offered here has the M1 chip with 8 CPU cores, 7 GPU cores, 8GB of memory, and a 256GB SSD. It's going for S$1,029, which is S$370 less than the cheapest M2 MacBook Air you can buy from Apple.

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Wi-Fi 7 router
ASUS' monster router is available at the show. The ROG Rapture GT-BE98 is a quad-band Wi-Fi 7 router that's capable of delivering up to 25,000Mbps of bandwidth. To ensure users can take advantage of all that speed, it has a single 10Gbps WAN port and two 10Gbps LAN ports. It's priced at S$1,099 and will come with a free Cat 7 cable and free ASUS Vivowatch 5 Aero.

ASUS Vivobook 14
Those looking for a basic 14-inch notebook should definitely check out the ASUS Vivobook 14. This model has an older Intel Core i5-1235U processor, 16GB of memory, and a 512GB SSD. It's not going to win any benchmarking races, but it should more than suffice for daily tasks like web browsing, streaming content, schoolwork, and productivity. It's going for S$729 (U.P. S$849) and comes with a free backpack.

Dell Latitude 3440
There's no shortage of notebooks under S$1,000 at the show. Another one that I found is the Dell Latitude 3440. This has an Intel Core i5-1335U processor, 8GB of memory, and 512GB of SSD storage. The display is 14 inches in size and supports FHD resolution. What's interesting is that it has 3 years of on-site warranty. It's going for S$769.

HP Pavilion Plus
There aren't many notebooks with Intel's newest Meteor Lake processors at the show. However, here's one that I found. It's the HP Pavilion Plus, which has a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. It also comes with two years of on-site warranty. It's going for S$1,349 (U.P. S$1,499).

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5
If you really want an OLED panel for your notebook, check out the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Slim. It has a 14-inch OLED with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and is powered by the AMD Ryzen R7-7730U processor with 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. It's going for S$1,099 (U.P. S$1,299) and comes with a free Lenovo backpack.

LG gram 14
Readers who value portability above all else should check out the LG gram 14. Thanks to its magnesium alloy and carbon fibre construction, it weighs just 990g. This model has a 14-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and is powered by the Intel Core i5-1340P processor with 16GB of memory and 1TB of SSD storage (after free storage upgrade). It's going for S$1,519 (U.P. S$2,120) and comes with a free year's subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9
The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 might be getting long in the tooth, but it's still one of the best detachable notebooks you can buy. Furthermore, because it's getting old, you can get it with significant discounts. The base model has an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. It's going for S$1,669 (U.P. S$2,104) and comes with a free Type Cover and Surface Slim Pen 2.

MSI Modern 14
Here's another ultraportable notebook that we found for under a grand. This is the MSI Modern 14 and it has a 14-inch FHD display and weighs just 1.4kg. It is powered by the Intel Core i5-1235U processor and has 16GB of memory and 512GB of SSD storage. It's going for S$799 (U.P. S$1,099) and comes with a free MSI backpack.

Netgear Nighthawk RAXE300
If you are looking for a Wi-Fi 6E router to maximise your Wi-Fi 6E client devices, there's the Netgear Nighthawk RAXE300. This is a tri-band router that's capable of delivering a maximum data transfer rate of 7,800Mbps. Netgear claims a maximum Wi-Fi coverage of up to 2,500 sq.ft., which means it should suffice for most apartment homes here (as long as your placement is sensible). It has a single 2.5G WAN/LAN port, one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. It's going for S$449 (U.P. S$649).

Seagate One Touch SSD
The Seagate One Touch SSD is a portable SSD that's compact enough to slip into most pockets. It connects via USB-C and supports transfer speeds of up to 1,030MB/s. The 1TB version is going for S$149 (U.P. S$209), while those who require more capacity can consider the 2TB version which is S$260 (U.P. S$449).

TP-Link Archer BE550 BE9300 Wi-Fi 7 router
Readers looking for a relatively affordable Wi-Fi 7 router should take a look at the TP-Link Archer BE550. This is a tri-band router that delivers a total data transfer rate of up to 9,300Mbps. It also has a single 2.5G WAN/LAN port and four 2.5G LAN ports. It's going for S$439 (U.P. S$609).

Transcend ESD380C portable SSD
The Transcend ESD380C was one of the more affordable portable SSDs that I saw at the show. It supports the newer USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 standard, which means it can achieve data transfer rates of up to 20Gbps. The 4TB version is S$469 (U.P. S$559), the 2TB version is S$239 (U.P. S$299), and the 1TB version is S$159 (U.P. S$175).
