Samsung might unveil the Galaxy Note 8 on 26 August in New York

The original plan was to launch the Galaxy Note 8 at IFA 2017 in September.

Another report from South Korea has corroborated an earlier claim of the Galaxy Note 8's debut in late August.

According to Korean publication Naver, sources said that Samsung has pushed forward the launch schedule of the Galaxy Note 8 by a week. The Galaxy Note 8 was initially planned to be revealed at IFA 2017 in September, but Samsung decided to bring it forward by a week to avoid sharing the limelight with Apple's iPhone event. The Galaxy Note 8 is said to be launched at an event in New York on 26 August, which is later than the early and mid-August launches of the Galaxy Note 7 and 5 respectively.

Naver also added that the Galaxy Note 8 would come with a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, a slightly improved S Pen, dual cameras on the rear, Bixby and a rear fingerprint sensor.
