Samsung's on-screen fingerprint sensor rumored to cause display brightness issues

An industry insider claims to know the specific reason why Samsung couldn't integrate the on-screen fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S8 and how it could also affect the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.
According to the tipster i冰宇宙, the integration of the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy Note 8 prototype failed as it led to uneven screen brightness. Apparently, the area occupied by the fingerprint sensor looked brighter than the rest of the the screen.
Samsung reportedly made a last minute decision to omit the on-screen fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S8 due to time constraints and technical issues. If Samsung cannot address this issue in time, the Galaxy Note 8 might miss out on the on-screen fingerprint sensor. Apple is widely believed to have succeeded in implementing an on-screen fingerprint sensor for the iPhone 8.
