Philips Evnia 42M2N8900.

As an OLED panel, it offers top-end specs like 4K UHD resolution, 138Hz refresh rate (overclocked), HDR10 support, 0.1ms grey-to-grey response time, on top of a variety of ports (HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C with 90W PD) and its signature aesthetic, Ambiglow RGB lights. The 8000 series, of which the 42M2N8900 is a part, also means the display is one of the top-end models from its Evnia gaming brand.

The monitor has an official retail price of S$2,699, and it's now on a steep discount of S$1,999 at the IT Show 2024, Booth 8121. Sandisk GamePlay MicroSD Card (1TB)

Sandisk GamePlay 1TB MicroSD card.

Sandisk GamePlay 1TB MicroSD card.

Launched in January 2024, the GamePlay is a new variant of Sandisk's well-known MicroSD cards. It offers read speeds of up to 190MB/s and write speeds of up to 130MB/s, on top of cutting-edge A2 Performance Class support for short-burst, fragmented read/write needs.

The latter is what mobile phones and handheld gaming consoles use for running resource-hungry gaming apps off the memory card, which is also the inspiration for the card's name.

This new product is debuting at IT Show 2024 (at the time of writing, you can't even find it on Sandisk's Shopee or Lazada Singapore pages). Booths across Challenger, CR Group, TheMobileHub, and 12Buy.sg have it at S$167 for 1TB of storage. If you want to save some money, these booths also have 256GB (S$35.90) and 512GB (S$72) options, too.

Starving for more ports for your new shiny MacBook or Windows-based notebook?

The Transcend HUB5C is a 6-in-1 multi-port USB hub that adds a handful of crucial ports and slots within a light 51g gadget. In return, you get back that one port, on top of one USB-C with 60W Power Delivery, two USB Type-A ports (USB 3.1 Gen 1), one SD card (UHS-II) and one MicroSD card slot (UHS-I). Another perk is that the HUB5C is powered by the same port you plug it into, so there's no need to dig around for another power source to keep the hub going.

The Transcend HUB5C was originally priced at S$69, but it will be available for S$44.90 at the Challenger booth (Booth 305) at IT Show 2024.
