OPPO Find N5 gets a global launch date, chooses Singapore for launch venue

OPPO is preparing to launch its beautiful smartphone as we approach Valentine's Day.

In a statement to the press, OPPO announced that the global launch of the OPPO Find N5 is slated for 20 February 2025 at 7 PM Singapore Time. The brand said its international launch will be held in Singapore, where the sunny island will play host to international tech enthusiasts and media.

The official YouTube channel of OPPO also uploaded a placeholder for the event, indicating that the launch will be streamed live to viewers and fans. You can add the event’s reminder to your calendar here.

All signs point to OPPO seeking to disrupt the premium flagship phone category with a strong H1 2025 phone. Rumours indicate that the book-style foldable will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (also found on Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Honor Magic7 Pro). 

The phone will also have the same updated ColorOS 15 operating system found on OPPO’s Find X8 Pro. We expect AI-based photo editing perks, its unique Touch To Share function, and other OS niceties to also come along for the ride.

In its bid to excite future users, OPPO executives also teased the Find N5 by comparing the device’s slimness to the Apple iPad Pro (M4). The foldable was also compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 by a different OPPO executive, attempting to boast OPPO’s less-visible crease found on its inner main display.
