Digital Cameras
Before buying a camera, it's important to decide what you wish to achieve with it. Are you going to print your photos? If so, are you going to print big? If not, you probably don't need a super high resolution camera. Unlike the early days, most cameras now have enough pixels that resolution isn't a real worry. For a travel camera, you may want to get one that has a long optical zoom range; we recommend at least a 5x zoom. DSLRs are great if you want the flexibility of having interchangeable lenses, the image quality that comes with a larger sensor, and you're able to live with their bigger body sizes. A good alternative is to get a compact, mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. Such a camera is much smaller than a DSLR, but enjoys similar features, such as a large sensor and the ability to change lenses. Some mirrorless cameras are very close in size to point-and-shoot cameras.

Shopping for a New Printer
So, you need a printer for your new home office. Since space is of a constraint, a multi-function machine that can print, copy, and scan (better yet, fax) would be ideal. It should also be good enough for printing the occasional family photos. Integrated Wi-Fi? That’d be perfect. But surely, this isn’t going to come cheap right? Not so, as you can see from the deals we've compiled below. For business users who prefer speed over resolution, laser or LED printers may be more suitable. There’s always been some confusion among consumers regarding the difference between a printer using laser technology and one that uses LED technology. In truth, both use the same underlying print technology, which is using static electricity to apply toner to paper. What differs however, is how light is being transmitted to form the image on the drum. So if you’re shopping for a laser printer today, don’t forget to check out LED-based ones at the same time.

Panel Matters
There are different panel technologies like IPS, TN and VA, and sub-panels such as S-PVA, S-MVA, S-IPS and H-IPS. In general, an IPS panel (and variants) is considered to be the best if you favor color accuracy and viewing angles above all other things. IPS monitors used to be pricey, but that has changed considerably in the last three years. For example, a 24-inch, LED-backlit IPS monitor can now be had for around $400; just a few years back, that same specs would set you back at least twice as much.
For gaming monitors, a TN (twisted nematic) panel is usually used because of its fast pixel responsiveness. The true response times of the best TN panels today range from 2 to 5ms. In general, the faster the pixel responsiveness, the less pixel trailing or 'ghosting' effects you'd notice during action sequences. For 3D gaming, we feel that the larger the 3D monitor, the more enjoyment you'd get from the visual depth that 3D brings. And let's not forget about connections. If you want to connect your game console, Blu-ray player, or notebook to the monitor, you need to ensure that the latter has the proper ports. The majority of monitors now come with at least one digital connection, be it DVI-D, HDMI, or DisplayPort; the better (and more expensive) ones would come with several. Naturally, you should also check what connections your graphics card is able to support before buying the monitor.
