Apple is likely to announce M4-powered MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac later this month.
Apple is expected to announce new M4-powered Macs at the end of this month.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is likely to announce several M4 Macs "around the end of October" which include the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac. Moreover, some of these Macs are said to be available for purchase from 1 November.
Bloomberg reported in August that the base models of M4 Macs might come with 16GB of memory from the factory. If true, this would resolve the memory conundrum that mainstream Mac users have been caught in for years.
While the MacBook Pro is believed to look similar to current models, a major design overhaul is slated for the Mac mini as the design has remained unchanged for more than a decade!
Rumours describe the M4 Mac mini as "an iPad Pro in a small box" and about the size of the Apple TV.
The iMac will maintain the 24-inch screen size. However, Bloomberg claimed that Apple is exploring a bigger iMac model with over 30-inch display. That said, the launch timeframe of this larger iMac remains vague at the moment.
Aside from the new M4-powered Macs, Apple is also rumoured to unveil an updated iPad mini, but it will not be powered by the M4 chip. The iPad mini will likely be powered by the A17 Pro or the new A18/A18 Pro chip to support Apple Intelligence.
