The Samsung Galaxy S26 series could also be powered by Exynos chips
It seems like Samsung really doesn't want to use Qualcomm chips.

Following a report that the Galaxy Z Flip7 could use the Exynos 2500 chip, a new rumour claims that Samsung has plans to equip the Galaxy S26 series with Exynos chips.
The latest speculation comes from tipster @Jukanlosreve, who shared on X that the South Korean company wants to "significantly" equip the Galaxy S26 with Exynos chips.
It is unclear whether Samsung will use Exynos chips for some Galaxy S26 models in select markets or ditch Qualcomm's Snapdragon platforms entirely with the Galaxy S26 series.
An Exynos-Snapdragon split is not uncommon in Samsung's playbook. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are equipped with the Exynos 2400 chip while the Galaxy S24 Ultra runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. This is a stark contrast from the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 models, which are all powered by Qualcomm chips.
That said, the upcoming Galaxy S25 series is believed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform due to the rumoured poor production yields of the Exynos 2500.
While Exynos chips have been improving in the past few years, there are still many consumers who prefer Qualcomm chips due to a perceived difference in thermal management or benchmarking performance.
In our review of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, we found the performance of the Exynos 2400 to be comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in general day-to-day usage. The chipset disparity is only evident during graphically intense workloads such as gaming or video editing, where the Qualcomm chip appears to have the edge.
Since Qualcomm and Samsung extended their strategic partnership through the end of 2030, it is unlikely that the South Korean company would ditch the formers' chips for Exynos in its premium phones soon. However, it is plausible that Samsung could be planning to cut its reliance on Qualcomm chips by gradually extending the use of Exynos chips in its flagship phones.
