While the Galaxy S25 series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, Samsung seems to confirm it will use non-Qualcomm chips for its next-generation foldable phones.

The Samsung System LSI department shared during the company's earnings call that it is still working on the Exynos 2500 and plans to "secure design wins for mobile models scheduled for release in H2 2025".

Since the Galaxy Z foldable phones typically launch in the second half of the year, there is a strong possibility that they will be powered by the Exynos 2500 chip.

A senior Samsung official reportedly shared with South Korean publication Chosun Biz that the Eyxnos 2500 will power the Galaxy Z Flip7.

As part of its 2025 foldable phone strategy, Samsung is rumoured to unveil four new Galaxy Z devices this year which could include a triple-folding phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Also, it remains to be seen if there will be an Exynos-Snapdragon split for the Galaxy Z devices in the future.
