A Korean report suggests that Samsung's triple-folding phone could launch this year.
Korean site Sisa Journal claims Samsung is planning to launch its triple-folding phone "in the second half of 2025". This contradicts Ross Young's timeline of early 2026. This device could be the "Fold 7 Variant (Triple)" that Korean blogger yeux1122 shared in November 2024.
Sisa Journal added that Samsung's folding mechanism is likely to be different from the Huawei Mate XT. The Mate XT's screen fold back on themselves like a collapsing accordion with one display functioning as an external screen. Samsung's phone will fold differently such that there's no exposed screen to improve durability.
The screen size is said to vary depending on how the user unfolds the phone. It is rumoured to have a 10.5-inch screen when unfolded on the left, and a 12.4-inch screen when unfolded on the right.
If and when it launches, Sisa Journal says Samsung's triple-folding phone would have limited availability with production said to be capped at under 300,000 units.
