Google just confirmed the launch date for the next generation Pixel smartphones and dropped hints on what to expect from the new phones.
Android fans, mark your calendars! Google is going to launch the new Pixel 2 smartphones on 4 October.
In a 35-second teaser video, Google hints that the Pixel 2 smartphones will sport better battery life, have more internal storage space, take sharper and clear photos, and are more intelligent in understanding the user's needs and behavior.
HTC and LG are expected to be the manufacturers of the Pixel 2 smartphones; the FCC filing reveals that HTC will be making the Pixel 2 while LG is likely to be making the Pixel XL 2. Leaked 3D renders of the new Pixel phones not only suggest almost similar footprints, they also hint that the Pixel 2 phones will lack some features found in current flagship phones such as dual rear cameras.
