Stocks of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max might be limited at launch according to a report by The Information.

Two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told The Information that Apple is experiencing display manufacturing issues for the iPhone 15 Pro models. As the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have slimmer bezels, Apple suppliers need to use a new manufacturing process. However, the new manufacturing process ran into issues with the panels provided by LG Display.

The panels provided by LG Display reportedly failed reliability tests, which forced Apple to tweak the design of the panel. In the meantime, Apple is relying on panels from Samsung Display.

Contrary to an analyst's report, The Information does not expect the iPhone 15 launch to be delayed. Consumers have to deal with limited quantities of the iPhone 15 Pro at launch, especially the Pro Max model. Mass production of the iPhone 15 models is scheduled to start next month.
