Apple reportedly partnered with a Chinese company to bring AI features to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac in China.

The Information claims Apple inked a deal with Alibaba after evaluating models developed by the latter and other Chinese companies including Tencent, ByteDance, and DeepSeek.

Apple and Alibaba reportedly co-developed a set of AI features which they have submitted to the Chinese regulatory body for approval.

The Wall Street Journal reported last year that Apple had preliminary discussions with Baidu, but talks have stalled due to technical issues and Apple's refusal to let the Chinese company train its AI model with iPhone users' data.

Apple Intelligence will roll out support for more languages this year, which includes Chinese, French, Japanese, Spanish, and localised English support in both India and Singapore.
