A major code leak, uncovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, has revealed the processors set to power 7 upcoming Apple products across multiple categories.
We begin with the iPad, which has code references that suggest the entry-level iPad and iPad mini are going to be powered by the A18 and A19 Pro processors, respectively. The A18 is currently used in the iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, whereas the A19 Pro is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 17 Pro. The A19 Pro is also expected to run on the new Studio Display 2. In comparison, the 2022 Studio Display runs on the A13 chip.
Next, the 2025 Apple Watch series will feature the new S11 chip, which software code reveals to be based on the same T8310 architecture as the S9 and S10 chips in the Series 9 and 10 Apple Watch models. Therefore, processor performance gains in the S11 are expected to be minimal.
With no major design changes expected for the next-generation Apple Vision Pro, Apple is likely to refresh the spatial computing headset with the M5 chip. This aligns with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report pointing to a chip upgrade and added support for Apple Intelligence.
On the home entertainment front, the upcoming HomePod mini is stated to be equipped with a new processor based on the S-series chips used in the Apple Watches. The current model, introduced in 2023, is powered by the S5 chip. Software code also points to the next Apple TV being powered by the A17 Pro, the same chip found in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad mini 7. Both the HomePod mini and Apple TV are also likely to include Apple’s own networking chip.
Apple is rumoured to debut these 7 devices between next month and the first half of 2026.
