Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared in his latest report that the Apple Vision Pro 2 could be marketed as the perfect AI spatial computing device.

To make this a reality, Kuo says Apple plans to power the next Vision Pro with the M5 chip and also include support for Apple Intelligence.

It's unclear how support for Apple Intelligence will improve the user experience, but it could allow for interesting use cases – such as more voice commands – which in turn could make it a more compelling device for users who are looking for a next-generation computing experience.

Aside from the M5 chip upgrade, Kuo says other hardware specs and the overall design are unlikely to change, which should help keep manufacturing costs down. This also suggests that the price of the Vision Pro 2 should be similar to the current model

What's most interesting is that the decision to use the M5 chip would mean that we are not far away from a second-generation Vision Pro. Apple has already launched its M4 generation of chips earlier this year with the iPad Pro, and we should see the new M5 chip sometime next year.

Apart from a second-generation Vision Pro, Apple is also rumoured to be working on a cheaper non-Pro Vision headset.
