Vivo is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the X200, as the successor to the X100 that was launched in November last year.
Recent leaks from Digital Chat Station on Weibo have revealed several key details about the upcoming device including its processor, cameras, and more.
According to the leaks, the Vivo X200 will be powered by MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset. The display is expected to be flat with symmetrical, narrow bezels on all four sides. It is also said to have a panel with 1.5K resolution.
As for the camera, the phone will reportedly include three 50MP sensors on the rear, including a main camera with a Sony sensor and a telephoto camera that has a 3x periscope zoom lens. Additionally, the device will also likely feature the latest version of Vivo’s self-developed imaging chip to enhance photography capabilities.

In terms of biometrics, the X200 is expected to feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, while the Pro model may upgrade to an ultrasonic sensor. Powering the X200 will be a battery that is rumoured to utilise high-density silicon technology, allowing for increased capacity without increasing physical size. There's no word on the battery's capacity.
As for its design, the leaked images of the dummy unit above suggest that the X200 will sport a flat display with chamfered edges on the sides. One of the more notable changes will be the screen size, which is rumoured to be smaller than its predecessor. It’s hard to say how large the screen is based on these images, but hopefully, it won't be much smaller than the X100's. That said, the screen is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate.
The rear showcases the prominent camera island surrounded by a metal ring that was previously seen in the X100.
While an exact launch date is unknown, based on last year’s X100 series launch, the X200 is speculated to have a release as early as October in China. The X200 series will likely comprise of a standard version and a Pro model.
