Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 series has been revealed in a hands-on video, and the ultra-thin iPhone 17 is certainly the main highlight.

Starting with the star of the show, the iPhone 17 Air is differentiated from the rest with its single rear camera module. It will sport the same 48MP camera module as the iPhone 16E. Its imaging features include a 12MP 2x telephoto mode and Portrait mode with Depth Control.

AppleTrack describes the side profile of the iPhone 17 Air as "the magic of this phone." As you can see from the photo below, the iPhone 17 Air is barely thicker than the buttons on the side.

Compared to the 8.25mm Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, the iPhone 17 Air is "ridiculously thin." Recent reports suggest the iPhone 17 Air measures between 5mm and 6.25mm thin.

However, the focus on creating an ultra-thin form factor has led to one compromise: audio quality. The iPhone 17 Air dummy unit only has two speakers on each side of the USB-C port. This is three fewer than the other iPhone 17 models, which have speakers on both sides of the phones (when in landscape mode).

The iPhone 17 Air is believed to have a 6.6-inch OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion technology. It is expected to cost around US$900 (~S$1,179) to US$1,000 (~S$1,310).

In line with most rumours, the iPhone 17 Pro dummy units show a new camera bar design that stretches across the entire top section.

While the triangular camera layout is maintained, AppleTrack believes significant changes are coming for the telephoto lens. The iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to have an upgraded telephoto camera, which will unlock super zoom capabilities

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to retain the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes, respectively. The Dynamic Island, rumoured to be smaller this year, seems similar in size to the current models.

Apple is likely to unveil the iPhone 17 series sometime later this year in September.
