Recent rumours have suggested that the upocoming iPhone 17 Pro will have a redesigned horizontal camera bump. However, tipster Jon Prosser thinks the redesign will be more drastic than that.

Citing his sources, Prosser says the iPhone 17 Pro will adopt a wide horizontal camera bar on the rear. He describes it as "actually much taller than most of the rumors suggested".

While the three lenses' arrangement is still on the left, the LED flash, LiDAR sensor, and mic will be shifted to the extreme right.

Prosser added that the wide camera bar will have a much darker tone compared to the chassis of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro – resulting in a two-tone look. He also said the iPhone 17 Pro will be lighter than previous models.

Apple has been using a square camera bump for the iPhone since 2019 – except the iPhone 16 which has the two cameras stacked on top of each other – necessary for taking spatial content.

Other rumoured specs of the iPhone 17 Pro include a 6.27-inch display, 12GB RAM, and the A19 Pro chip. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 lineup sometime in September.
