At HP Imagine AI 2024, the company announced its new HP OmniBook Ultra 14-inch as a Copilot+ PC capable of up to 55 TOPS of NPU performance.
Copilot+ PCs aren’t new with a host of them getting announced during Computex 2024 in Taipei. The main difference then was that the devices were all based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, and also came with the Qualcomm Oryon CPU for its performance and battery efficiency, and an integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU for graphics.
According to online reports, the full AI PC functionality won’t be unlocked straight away, with HP saying it will come from a free Copilot+ PC update from Microsoft. Unfortunately, no date was mentioned.

The new HP OmniBook Ultra bucks this trend coming powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor with integrated AMD Radeon 800M graphics. It also features HP’s AI Companion with AI tools and solutions to optimise the device to increase productivity, which will soon offer expanded functionality for managing PC settings and troubleshooting HP products. HP claims up to 21 hours of battery life and uninterrupted collaboration with its AI-enabled, high-resolution 9MP camera using the Poly Camera Pro app and Windows Studio Effects.
The HP OmniBook Ultra 14-inch Next Gen AI PC will be available in August on HP.com from US$1,449.99.

The HP OmniBook Ultra wasn’t the only device announced at HP Imagine AI 2024. The company also announced two new AIOs, the HP OmniStudio X 27-inch and 31.5-inch All-In-One (AIO) Desktop PCs.
They are powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU (with 6GB GDDR6), which form two of the three engines (CPU, GPU, and NPU) to accelerate AI applications. These enable a 4K screen and 5MP camera, along with Poly Studio audio and Adaptive audio.
There is also a new USB Type-C with DP-in/out (DisplayPort). The USB-C connection supports video, audio, data, keyboard, and mouse control, and it can be used as a laptop docking station to take advantage of the large display.
The new OmniStudio X AIOs come with AI-powered wellness features, such as screen time and distance reminders, which help reduce fatigue. Presence sensing adds additional privacy and peace of mind whether working at home or in open spaces.
Both the HP OmniStudio X 27-inch and 31.5-inch AIO Desktop PCs are expected to be available beginning in August on HP.com from US$1,149.99. We'll update again once we've news of local availability and pricing.
