In a post on X, famous Apple analyst Mark Gurman revealed that Apple will be launching new Macs next week.
He said:
Busy week for Apple next week: Apple Intelligence on Monday, then M4 Mac launch, then earnings results on Thursday (perhaps the last with the current CFO). Happy Halloween!
Although Gurman didn’t give a specific date, he followed up with another post that said Apple is inviting journalists and content creators to a hands-on experience next Wednesday in Los Angeles.
If this is true, it means Apple must announce the new Macs before then, which means we will likely hear about them early next week on Monday. That said, it’s still unclear whether these Macs will be announced as part of an online event (like last year’s “Scary Fast” event) or simply via press releases.
At any rate, Apple is widely expected to announce new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a new redesigned Mac mini, an updated iMac, and USB-C versions of its Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad accessories.
These new Macs will be powered by the company’s latest M4 chips. The M4 chip was unveiled earlier and debuted in updated versions of the iPad Pro.
