Some users say their rings are running out of charge in just hours.

More than a year after its debut, the Samsung Galaxy Ring appears to be struggling with severe battery drain.

According to SamMobile, user reports on Samsung’s official forums shared about excessive battery drain issues on the Galaxy Ring. Some users even claim it loses about 1% charge every two minutes - enough to drain the device completely in under two hours. This is far below Samsung’s official claim of up to 7 days of battery life on a single charge.

Some users managed to receive replacement units under warranty, but Samsung has yet to provide an official explanation or confirm whether the issue can be fixed via a software update.

Following a teaser at MWC 2024, the Galaxy Ring was officially unveiled in July 2024 and landed in local retail stores six months later with a price tag of S$538.
