Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 Leaked

Lenovo's second generation of ThinkPad Tablet will be powered by Windows 8, an Intel dual-core Clover Trail processor and 2GB RAM.

Earlier this year, anonymous sources from within Asia-based component suppliers claimed that Lenovo would be launching Windows 8 tablets in Q3. Now, it seems that the report is true as leaked Lenovo documents reveal an upcoming ThinkPad Tablet 2. Here's a quick look at the specs of the Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2: 

  • 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels 
  • Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor 
  • 2GB RAM
  • 64GB storage capacity 
  • 2-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash + 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash
  • NFC
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • LTE / HSPA+ connectivity
  • 262.6 x 164 x 9.8 mm
  • 650g
  • More than 10 hours of battery uptime

The Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 will come with a range of accessories which include a keyboard dock with trackpoint navigation, a pen stylus and a fingerprint scanner.

Lenovo's first ThinkPad Tablet runs on Google Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS (upgradeable to Android 4.0), NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB RAM. It also has a 10.1-inch IPS display. However, it is quite bulky at 730.5g and measures 14mm thick.
