Next iPad Pro could get two front-facing cameras

Because two is better than one.

Apple might add a second front-facing camera to the next-generation iPad Pro.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that the upcoming iPad Pro will come with two front-facing cameras, allowing users the flexibility to make FaceTime calls or take selfies in any orientation. The addition shouldn’t affect Face ID since it can work in any orientation.

The current iPad Pro (M4) has its front-facing camera shifted to the long side, making it perfectly centred for video calls in landscape mode.

Besides the second front-facing camera, the next-generation iPad Pro is expected to be powered by the M5 chip. Since Apple introduced a new design and OLED display to the iPad Pro lineup last year, we should expect minor updates for the 2025 models.

Apple will likely unveil the new iPad Pros in October. This will give it some breathing space as it’s expected to announce new iPhones in early September.
