Sony announces list of Xperia devices getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

With selected Nexus devices getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update from this week, Sony Mobile jumps on the bandwagon and announces a list of Xperia devices which are getting updated as well.

According to the official blog post, Sony Mobile is making the software update available for the Xperia Z5 family (Z5, Z5 Compact, Z5 Premium), the Xperia Z4 Tablet, the Xperia Z3 family (Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3+, Z3 Tablet Compact), the Xperia Z2 family (Z2, Z2 Tablet), the Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4.

Sony Mobile did not specify a time frame for the rollout, but assures Xperia users that the company is "working hard to bring this major update to as many of our devices as possible, as quickly as we can." HTC was the first Android vendor to reveal its schedule for the Android 6.0 update followed by Motorola a few days later.
