With the launch of two new Nexus smartphones, it's time for Google to confirm which Nexus devices will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to ArsTechnica, Google confirmed that the Nexus Player, Nexus 9, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 will be updated to Android 6.0. The roll-out will begin next week in phases which means not everyone will get the update at the same time.

This is also an official confirmation that the Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (2012) and Nexus 4 will be dropped from this upgrade cycle although they are likely to continue receiving monthly security updates from Google.
