Poco is updating its M-series lineup with the launch of the new Poco M7 Pro.

For those unfamiliar, the M-series is the entry-level lineup for the Xiaomi sub-brand. The phones typically cost around S$300+, as we've seen with the M6 Pro when it launched last year.

We look at what's coming with the M7 Pro and how much we can expect to pay this time around.

Poco has definitely shaken up the phone's design. The brand achieved a two-toned appearance with a vertical line separating the unique rock texture from the satin look. The cameras are now housed in a transparent module, which (we think) looks nicer than the M6 Pro.

Inside, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra processor, which is also found on the Redmi Note 14 5G. In fact, if you've seen our coverage of the 2025 Redmi Note phone, you'll realise that the Poco M7 Pro is almost identical.

It also has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and can achieve up to 2,100 nits of peak brightness.

Onboard, Poco has included LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with support for two physical SIM cards and no eSIM support. There's also expandable storage support with a microSDXC card for extra storage space.

The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge, similar to the Redmi Note it's based on.

Poco M7 Pro is powered by a 5,110mAh battery that supports 45W wired turbocharging.

This time around, the phone's water-and-dust resistance rating has been upgraded to IP64, and it still supports NFC for contactless payments.

However, it is still running on the older Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0 operating system, which means it's still on Android 14, and we won't be getting all the new AI features from HyperOS 2. We are getting the Gemini app included, though.

The rear main camera has been upgraded to a 50MP shooter with both OIS and EIS. It supports a 2x "optical-quality" in-sensor zoom with the 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor and an f/1.5 aperture.
