Thanks to flagship smartphones getting more and more expensive, brands like Poco have been gifted an opportunity to make their mark on the mid-range and budget categories. And Poco has definitely risen to that challenge in recent years, with the brand's flagship Poco F5 Pro starting at just S$659. Now, there are even more affordable options in the Poco X6, Poco X6 Pro and Poco M6, all targeted at younger consumers and their smartphone habits.

The most expensive of the bunch, the Poco X6 Pro, features the new MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor which comes with generative AI features.

"As we debut the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra on the POCO X6 Pro, consumers will have the opportunity to enjoy a full range of premier expereinces and accessibility features like generative AI capabilities and flagship-grade memory." - Dr Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager, MediaTek's Wireless Communications Business Unit.

With up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, the Poco X6 Pro doesn't lose out to some more expensive midrange phones that might only offer up to 8GB of storage. The phone also has upgraded WildBoost Optimisation 2.0 that's claimed to offer "wickedly fast and fluid gaming experiences".

The X6 Pro comes with a 64MP main camera with OIS, which is a first in an X-series phone, and supports 67W turbo charging (with an included charger) on its large 5,000mAh battery

If you're more of a Qualcomm person, the X6 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, while still offering up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage

Aside from that main spec differece, there are very few differences between the X6 and X6 Pro. Both phones sport a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, both sport a 64MP main camera with OIS and the X6 has 67W fast charging as well, although it's to juice up a slightly larger 5,100mAh battery.

Another notable difference is that the X6 model has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, in comparison to the X6 Pro which only has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for some reason.

Last but not least, we have the Poco M6 Pro. It's the first M-series phone to come with a 120Hz Flow AMOLED display, which will mean smoother scrolling and a more fluid experience while gaming and watching videos.

The phone also comes with a 64MP main camera with built-in OIS and EIS, which can be a bit rare to see in midrange phones at the same price point. Another smartphone chip is making its global debut here, with the new Helio G99-Ultra chipset pairing with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is, however, expandable storage by means of microSDXC up to 1TB, which is awesome for those of us who miss having expandable storage in our phones. More than that, the phone even has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is great for those who prefer using wired headphones.

The display is the same 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 like the X6 Pro. The M6 Pro also comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W turbo charging and has an included 67W charger in the box.

All three phones come with IP54 dust and water resistance and support NFC for digital payments.
