OPPO Singapore opens up pre-registration for Find X8 series, confirms 21 November global launch

OPPO has confirmed that Singapore will get the Find X8 series phones via an announcement asking its fans to pre-register for its early-bird reservations.
In a statement to the media today (11 November 2024), OPPO Singapore shared that the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are launching globally, piggybacking on the Bali, Indonesia launch. Previously, there was no confirmed date, but it’s now locked in to “take place on 21 November 2024.”

Adding to that announcement is the start of the pre-registration for both phones in Singapore. Singapore-based OPPO fans can put down a S$200 deposit to reserve a Find X8 series phone.
Early-bird reservations can also stand to receive offers worth up to S$843. Based on the digital flyer shared by OPPO Singapore, it includes:

- 1x OPPO 10,000mAh VOOC Powerbank
- 1x guaranteed “co-branded fashion” phone case
- 1x Two-years global warranty
- 1x Two-years Screen Damage Coverage
- 1x S$88 voucher for the OPPO Pad 3 Pro or the OPPO Watch X
This early-bird reservation promotion and period ends on 20 November 2024, one day before its global launch.

To quickly recap, the OPPO Find X8 series phones use a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. Both regular and Pro models get telephoto cameras, with the Find X8 packing a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, while the Find X8 Pro gets two telephoto cameras with 6x optical zoom and 13.3x in-sensor zoom.
They also have improved AI Toolbox capabilities, big battery capacities (Find X8 gets 5,630mAh while Find X8 Pro gets 5,910mAh), and IP-rated water and dust resistance (IP68 and IP69, respectively). The phones also continue on with its Hasselblad partnership for camera expertise and filters.
