Huawei’s Kirin 990 will finally support 4K video recording at 60 fps
It looks like 4K recording at 60 fps is coming to the Huawei Mate 30 thanks to the new Kirin 990 chip.

At IFA this September, Huawei is going to officially unveil its Kirin 990 chipset.
Because the Kirin 990 is expected to go into the upcoming Mate 30, Mate X and even P40 phones, knowing what this 7nm processor is capable of will also tell us what these phones are capable of.
And the latest word is that the Kirin 990 will finally bring 4K at 60 fps support to Huawei’s upcoming phones.
Yes, 4K at 60 fps. Finally. For those unaware, despite being lauded for their camera performance, the Mate 20 and P30 series are only capable of 4K video recording at 30 fps. In comparison, 60 fps is already possible on Samsung’s flagship Galaxy phones since the Galaxy S9 and on Apple’s iPhones since 2017 with the iPhone 8/8Plus and X.
According to rumours, Huawei is planning to announce the Mate 30 series on Sep 19.
