Huawei sets date for the global launch of its tri-folding Mate XT

Huawei is holding an event on 18 February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to launch the Mate XT Ultimate.
Huawei confirmed it is bringing its Mate XT triple-folding smartphone to global markets.
The Chinese company shared on X that it will hold an "innovative product launch" on 18 February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The almost one-minute video shows the different innovations in foldable phone form factors that Huawei introduced, including the Mate X in 2019, the Mate X3 in 2023, and the Mate XT in 2025.
To recap, Huawei launched the Mate XT in China in September 2024, and since then, there was always talk of the triple-folding phone coming to markets beyond China. Mostly recently, The Huawei Mate XT recently received TDRA certification by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities, which usually indicates that a product will be soon available for consumers and businesses.
When it arrives in global markets, consumers should expect to pay a small fortune for the Huawei Mate XT. It launched in China with a price tag of ¥19,999 (~S$3,660). Additionally, we reported that repair fees for the Huawei Mate XT could go as high as ¥10,699 (~S$1,960.80).
