Google's most efficient generative AI model for on-device tasks, Gemini Nano is rolling out beyond the Pixel and Samsung phones.
A Xiaomi spokesperson reportedly shared with Android Authority that Gemini Nano will roll out to the Xiaomi 14T phones and Mix Flip (global model) via a future update. This was also confirmed at yesterday's local launch of the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro.
Gemini Nano will also power Magic Compose in Google Messages on these Xiaomi devices. For the uninitiated, Magic Compose helps you craft unique replies in various styles based on the context of your last 20 messages with the contact. This feature runs on-device to protect user privacy.
Gemini Nano is currently available on Pixel phones (Pixel 8a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9 series) and recent Samsung Galaxy flagship phones (Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6).
With the Xiaomi 14T and Mix Flip model getting Gemini Nano, we wonder which other Android phone models are next in line to get Google's AI app.
