Apple supplier Cirrus Logic seems to have confirmed the cancellation of solid-state buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro.

In a letter to shareholders, Cirrus Logic states that the new product that it mentioned previously as being scheduled for launch this fall is no longer expected to come to market as planned. The company will "continue to engage with a strategic customer and expect to bring a new HPMS component to market in smartphones next year".

Two analysts reported last month that the solid-state buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro were cancelled due to "design issues". Nonetheless, a new mute button is said to be on track for the iPhone 15 Pro.
