Apple supplier hints at iPhone 15 Pro with solid-state buttons
An Apple supplier says it is engaging with "a strategic customer" and expects to "bring a new HPMS component to market in smartphones next year".

Another report suggests that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro might come with a "buttonless" design.
Apple supplier Cirrus Logic shared in a newsletter to shareholders that the company is engaging with "a strategic customer" and expects to "bring a new HPMS component to market in smartphones next year."
CEO John Forsyth also revealed in an earning calls that the HPMS component will come in the "back half of next year". HPMS refers to high-performance mixed-signal chips such as haptic drivers of the Taptic Engine in iPhones supplied by Cirrus Logic. The debut of the HPMS component coincides with the usual launch period of new iPhones.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed last month that the volume and power buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro could adopt a solid-state design similar to the home button on the iPhone 7/8/SE 2/SE 3.
