Word on the street is that this year's iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a slightly larger 6.9-inch display. These new images featuring what is supposedly a dummy unit of the iPhone 16 Pro Max give us a good idea of just how much bigger it is compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

To recap, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display, so the increase in size is just a modest 0.2 inches. That said, you can see from the image above that the difference – at least in terms of pure physical dimensions – is noticeable.

That said, since it's a dummy unit and cannot be activated, it remains to be seen whether the slightly larger display will make a difference in real-world use.

The iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to get a larger display too. Like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to get a 0.2-inch bump in display size from 6.1 to 6.3 inches.

Most recently, it was reported that the iPhone 16 Pro's display will be up to 20% brighter.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup in September. So far, rumours indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro will be getting significant upgrades such as 5x optical zoom, a new ultra-wide camera, Wi-Fi 7 connectivitya bigger Action button, a new Capture buttona polished titanium finish with two new colour options, new anti-reflective coating on camera components to reduce lens flare and ghosting issues, and slimmer MagSafe parts.
