Apple will roll out the "more personalised Siri" to users "in the coming year".

There was chatter that the "more natural, more contextually relevant, and more personal" Siri experience would be delayed, but Apple has officially confirmed this.

An Apple spokeswoman said the "more personalised Siri" is taking longer than expected and the company expects to roll these Siri features out "in the coming year"

The "more personalised Siri" features include Personal Context Understanding, Onscreen Awareness, and In-App Actions, which were announced at WWDC 2024 in June.

Apple did not specify when these "more personalised Siri" features will arrive, but it is speculated that consumers will only see them in the next version of iOS. This means iOS 19 and so it's likely we'll only see this feature much later this year, or possibly even next year.

It remains to be seen how the delayed roll-out will affect Apple's purported renewed push into the smart home space. Apple is rumoured to roll out several smart home devices including an AI wall tablet, Face ID doorbell and an IP camera.

Bloomberg reported in November 2024 that the AI wall tablet is designed to be a "command center for the home" with Siri and video call features. Initially slated for launch this month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims it could launch after WWDC 2025 in Q3 due to software development issues.
