Apple has announced the release of its video streaming service for users of Android-based devices (Apple added that availability may vary by region), giving them access to entertainment options like Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, Masters of the Air, Friday Night Baseball, and Major League Soccer (MLS).
Following a seven-day free trial, interested Android users can subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS using their Google Play account on Android mobile and Google TV devices. By subscribing to the MLS Season Pass, fans will have access to every MLS match in one location with no blackouts, plus an array of exclusive content, in-depth coverage, and analysis, when the season starts on 22 February.
The Apple TV app is currently available on the Singapore Google Play Store and will cost S$13.98 per month after the free seven‑day trial. If you buy an Apple device, Apple TV+ is included free for three months, and then you get charged monthly. Finally, Apple TV+ is included in Apple One, which bundles up to three other Apple services like iCloud, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade, into a single monthly subscription with prices starting from S$23.95 per month.
As the streaming wars heat up, Netflix has again announced plans to increase its price (but is adding Monday Night Raw as an incentive to stay subscribed), and Disney+ losing subscribers following its price hike, Apple is no doubt hoping to pull in new subscribers regardless of the device they prefer to use.
