Redmagic has been relentless in launching variants of its flagship Redmagic 10 series gaming phones.
We've covered the launches of the original Redmagic 10 Pro (our review here), its real gold variant, the Lightspeed Edition, and its Air version, too. While we haven't tried all of them, we did give the Redmagic 10 Pro a Best Value accolade for its exceptional performance. It has been up-to-date in offering some of the best components out there for very little money, even before the Poco F7 Ultra (another Best Value alternative) came along.
Now, the Chinese brand has just released the mid-year update with the new Redmagic 10S Pro, which takes its best-value approach even further with overclocking.
Overclocking the chipset for ultimate game performance
The biggest (but also the slightest) difference between the Redmagic 10S Pro and its base version is the customised Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor.
In a nutshell, it's an overclocked version of the phone's core component (even more overclocked than the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy ones). Notably, the CPU gets boosted to 4.47GHz (originally 4.32GHz), and the Adreno 830 GPU is now running at 1.2GHz (typically 1.1GHz).
The Qualcomm chipset is also supported by Redmagic's self-created RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip, which helps offload gaming responsibilities from its main Snapdragon processor.

The added 10-layer ICE-X cooling system remains unchanged, which is crucial for maintaining stable temperatures. That helps to encourage the chipset to work harder since it's not easily overheated. Also included is the Liquid Metal 2.0 thermal conduction material and an internal fan for more efficient heat dissipation.
The same 7,050mAh battery capacity powers everything, although Redmagic knocked down its charging to 80W wired (instead of 100W).
Another minor upgrade is the use of LPDDR5T RAM, but the phone is still keeps the same UFS 4.1 Pro storage technology (basically, new RAM/storage tech is likely faster also).
The display on the Redmagic 10S Pro is unchanged (6.85-inch AMOLED panel, up to 2,000-nits of peak brightness) and has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
Also, it's up-to-date at being a modern Android phone with its Android 15 reskin and included Gemini compatiblity for some AI goodness.
Pricing and availability

Since the Redmagic 10S Pro is technically an upgrade from its flagship variant, it starts at S$1,199, which is a S$200 price jump over the Redmagic 10 Pro. This feels significant since 99% of the phones use the same internals, with the price hike accounted for by its overclocked chip.
However, there are early bird discounts up to S$270 running from 12 to 30 June 2025, along with a Redmagic Cooler 6 Air thrown in as a gift (while stocks last). This helps to alleviate the wallets of price-sensitive gamers, and the cooling attachment would go even further to meet their performance needs.
This promotion will be available on Redmagic's official Shopee, Lazada and TikTok shops. Check out the pricing for the various variants below.
