Samsung's other flagship device, the S7 Edge is still one of the best smartphones out there (and it isn't affected by any of the issues that plagued the Note7). If you loved the Note7's large dual curved AMOLED display, powerful processor, and waterproof features, this is the closest thing you can get.

The OnePlus 3 has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with a whopping 6GB RAM, and a stylish anodized aluminum build. Best of all, the OnePlus 3 retails for just S$649, so you can take the rest of your Note7 refund and treat yourself to a brand new Sony Playstation 4 Slim (you deserve it!)

Sony's Xperia XZ comes out tomorrow (15th October) and boasts the same IP68 dust and water resistance as the Note7.  The phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GB of RAM, and has Hi-Res audio support. It also has a rear camera with a whopping 23-megapixel sensor, and an f/2.0, 24mm lens, as well as phase detection and laser autofocus. Like the Note7, it uses a USB Type-C port.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe has a 5.7-inch AMOLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a massive 6GB RAM. The phone also sports a world-first invisible-antenna design and a 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony's new Exmor RS IMX318 sensor.

Originally slated to launch in September, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe will now be launching at the end of this month/early November.

LG's sleek V20 isn't available until 5th November but it could be worth waiting for. Like the Note7, the V20 has a 5.7-inch QHD display. It sports a bevy of high-end pro-sumer features, including a Hi-Fi Quad DAC with speakers tuned by B&O, an HD Audio Recorder, and front and rear wide-angle lens cameras. It is also the first smartphone to be pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.

If you can wait a bit, Google's upcoming Pixel XL smartphone is a great alternative to the Note7. It's got a similar size 5.5-inch AMOLED display, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor,  and it will be the first smartphone to feature the all-new Google Assistant with machine learning capabilities - the AI aims to help users in a more natural and personalized manner.
