Samsung typically holds two Galaxy Unpacked events in a year. The first event held in Q1 is usually for the launch of the Galaxy S flagship series. The second, usually held in Q3, introduces the new generation of Galaxy Z series foldable phones along with smartwatches and earbuds.
Enough details about the next Galaxy Unpacked event are out now, so we’ve combined all these details together, below.
Four Galaxy Z Foldable Devices Could Be Unveiled
Samsung’s teaser image of the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Samsung typically unveils two foldable phones, which are the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold (book style) and Galaxy Z Flip (clamshell) models.
This year might be different. On top of the successors of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Samsung could introduce an additional FE model, an Ultra model, or a Special Edition/triple-folding model.
Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7
To maintain its competitiveness against Chinese phone brands, Samsung is reportedly working on making the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 thinner. For the Galaxy Z Fold7, the chassis is said to be so thin that S Pen support could be dropped.
Galaxy Z Flip FE
The FE moniker, often referred to as the Fan Edition, could be expanded to the Galaxy Z series for the first time. To maintain the premium image of the Galaxy Z Fold lineup, the Flip FE model focuses on affordability, retaining the same clamshell form factor and Samsung One UI experience.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE is reportedly equipped with an older processor, less RAM, smaller internal storage capacity, and less powerful camera hardware. One prevalent rumour is that the new FE is a repackaged Galaxy Z Flip6.
Other also speculated that Samsung might also equip the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip FE with Exynos chipsets to maintain attractive price points. The Galaxy Z Flip7 could have Exynos 2500 while the Flip FE could have the Exynos 2400e.
Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition/Triple-Folding Model
The most interesting and unlikely model of the lot is the Special Edition, which will be a triple-folding phone.
To recap, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in South Korea about three months after the Galaxy Z Fold6. It is the thinnest and lightest foldable model in the Galaxy Z range, but lacks S Pen support.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 expected to be even thinner, which dilutes any reason for Samsung to launch a Special Edition model if the only differentiating features are screen sizes.
A fourth triple-folding model could also be Samsung’s answer to the Huawei Mate XT. Rumours suggest that the triple-folding model will be available in limited quantities, have a screen size of almost 10 inches when unfolded, and a chunkier design of around 15mm.
Galaxy Watch8 lineup

This year is shaping up to be exciting for Samsung’s smartwatches as a fan-favourite model and feature, is said to make a comeback.
The Galaxy Watch8 Classic, which might have a rotating bezel, was revealed in leaked renders and may come in a new Titanium Blue colourway.
