Apple has just officially announced that this year’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) will take place on the week of June 9.
Like past years’ proceedings, the bulk of WWDC 2025 will be online and free for developers to attend. Apple also said there will be video sessions and opportunities for developers to connect with Apple engineers and designers in online lab sessions.
There will be a special in-person event at Apple Park on June 9 for developers, students, and the press, where they can watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union. They can also take the opportunity to meet Apple experts one-on-one and take part in special activities. Developers can apply to attend WWDC 2025 in person here.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations said:
We’re excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community. We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate.
WWDC 2025 is when Apple announces new versions of its operating systems, and this year's edition is expected to be an exciting one if the rumours are true. Word on the street is that Apple will be giving iOS and macOS a massive design overhaul that will make them look and feel more like visionOS.
We are also eager to hear what Apple has been and will be doing on the AI front. The company was in the news recently for all the wrong reasons as it confirmed it is delaying its "More Personalised Siri" feature.
As always, be sure to stay tuned right here for all the latest from Apple and WWDC later this year.
