LG G6 telco price plan comparison

Who's got the best plan?

With all three telcos announcing their price plans for the just-released LG G6, now's the time to find out who offers the best deal.

Check out the following articles for a quick refresher on what the LG G6 offers:

The LG G6 will retail at S$988 (64GB, 4GB RAM) if you grab one without a telco contract. Colors available are Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White. Each purchase of the G6 comes with a free flip case worth S$58 while stocks last, along with an additional 12-month warranty (for a total of 24 months).

Additionally, each telco has their own bonuses:

  • M1: S$200 off LG G6 when signing up for selected Fibre broadband and mobile plan at the same time.
  • Singtel: Free LG 43-inch 4K UHD TV worth $1,388 when they complete their Singtel Circle with an LG G6 purchase (Combo 3 and above plans) and re-contract or subscribe to Singtel Fibre Broadband or TV. Simply visit any Singtel Shop or sign up online.
  • Starhub: Customers who sign up for a 2-year HomeHub Go 1Gbps plan with LG G6 will receive a FREE LG 43-inch 4K UHD TV worth S$1,388.

Quick analysis

Broadly speaking, M1 has the best contractual offer with the LG G6 smartphone. There are however selective cases when StarHub rivals the offer and most prominent of them is the top tier plan (4G 12) where they come up with the best overall offer, albeit with 1GB less data than M1.

Apart from the three major telco price plan offers, you do also have another option with Circles.Life with their S$28 per month plan that gets you up to 6GB of data for the base plan. However, that's basically getting a service line from them and purchasing the phone separately as they don't have it offered in their stable. If you've no other needs but pure data, our comparisons have also borne out the Circle.Life offers the best value in that department. But once you look at data roaming needs and other services like home broadband, TV services, multiple users,  then the other three established telcos have more balanced solutions to meet your needs. So look at the full picture, before choosing the right telco for your needs.
