In Pictures: The almost all-display LG G6

A closer look at the LG G6.

1/9

The front of the G6 is almost entirely display with a 78.37% screen-to-body ratio.

On the back there's two 13-megapixel rear cameras. The left camera comes with a standard angle lens, and the right-sided camera is the 125-degree lens.

On the right side, there's a rather wide dual-SIM card tray with the second slot doubling up as a microSD card slot.

4/9

On the left side, you'll find two volume buttons. At 7.9mm, the phone is a little on the thick side, and it feels quite chunky in hand as it doesn't taper or use any curved glass. It actually reminds me a bit of an iPhone 5.

The unusual 18:9 screen ratio makes the display taller but narrower than most 5.7-inch screens.

6/9

On the bottom you'll find a single speaker grille and a USB Type C port.

7/9

Thankfully LG hasn't done away with the headphone port. It's on top.

8/9

The 5.7-inch 18:9 2,880 x 1,440-pixel FullVision Display (564ppi) has full support for a multitude of HDR formats including the HDR10 open standard and Dolby Vision.

The G6 is much smaller than a traditional 5.7-inch smartphone - shown here next to Samsung's A7 (2017).
