Nintendo Switch 2 to retail at S$719 in Singapore, pre-orders available now

We’ve previously reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be available in Singapore from 26 June, with pre-orders starting 9 June. Now, we’ve got the full details.

The key thing to note is that the console will retail at a suggested price of S$719 and have a warranty coverage of one year (covered by Nintendo distributor Convergent Systems). Pre-orders are open now and will run until 25 June, across the following participating retailers.

Additionally, customers who purchase a Switch 2 console will receive a 15% discount on the SanDisk microSD Express Card for Nintendo Switch 2 (256GB) when bought in the same transaction.

The real sting, though, lies in the price of Nintendo’s first-party games. Mario Kart World will retail for a steep S$119.90, making it arguably the most expensive non-special edition packaged title we’ve seen here. It also signals what could be the new norm for Nintendo’s own titles – hovering in the S$99 to S$120 range – as the Kyoto-based company follows through on its plans to raise game prices. If you’re planning to pick up Mario Kart World (and early reviews suggest it’s well worth a spin), the smarter move would be to go for the S$769 console and game bundle instead. It's also worth mentioning that the bundle comes with the physical game cartridge and not a game code as some overseas customers have encountered.
