You can save disappearing messages on WhatsApp if the sender agrees
WhatsApp just announced a new feature, Keep In Chat for users to keep disappearing messages.
Keep in Chat allows you to request to keep disappearing messages from the sender. When you long press a disappearing message, the sender will be notified of the request and he/she has the ability to veto the decision. If the sender decides against it, the text message will be deleted when the timer expires.
Messages saved under Keep In Chat will be denoted by a bookmark icon and organised by chat in the Kept Messages folder. Keep In Chat will be rolling out globally over the next few weeks.
