Xiaomi will announce five new products on 19 July, including Mix Flip clamshell foldable phone

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the announcement of five new products for its 19 July event.
The Chinese tech giant confirmed (via its official social media page) that it will unveil its first flip phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, on 19 July 2024. Alongside the Mix Flip, Xiaomi will also announce the successor to the Mix Fold 3.

The Mix Flip will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, featuring Leica optics with a Summilux large aperture lens. On the rear, the clamshell foldable flip phone will sport a dual-rear camera setup embedded into the outer screen, which Xiaomi says will be fully functional even when the phone is closed. Xiaomi also fitted in a 4,780mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging.
According to a Geekbench listing spotted by MySmartPrice, the Mix Flip will come with 12GB of RAM.
Alongside the Mix Flip, Xiaomi will also announce its next generation of bookstyle foldable series. Measuring just 9.47mm in thickness and weighing 226g, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be one of the thinnest and lightest foldable devices on the market. As previously reported, the Mix Fold 4 will have a quad-camera setup with Leica optics. It is now known that the camera array will include two telephoto cameras, one of which will be a 5x optical zoom periscope module.
Other phone features include an IPX8 water resistance rating, 50W of wireless charging capability, and support for two-way satellite communication.
In addition to the two foldable devices, Xiaomi will unveil the Smart Band 9, the Xiaomi Buds 5, and the Redmi K70 Ultra.
At the moment, it seems that the devices will only be available in China at launch. However, there are speculations that the Mix Flip will eventually reach international markets.
The launch event will be live-streamed on Xiaomi's official YouTube channel.
